Sound Massage with Tibetan Singing Bowls Sound massage sessions transport the client into a space of tranquility and deep relaxation of the mind and the body.In our practice, we work with Planet bowls. Each bowl is attuned to the frequency of the planetary orbit of a particular planet. Planet bowls therefore resonate with their corresponding planet.
During a sound massage the client lies, fully clothed, on a comfortable bed, with a number of different sized singing bowls on or around his body. The therapist then gently strikes the instruments with a beater. Since the human body is made up mostly of water, it is a highly effective transmitter of sound vibrations. The bowls’sound wave vibrations penetrate the body. Thus, placing the bowls directly on the body significantly increases their effectiveness. The muscles and organs receive the instruments’ direct vibrations. Each individual cell is stimulated to vibrate in resonance. This inner massage of the body cells can redress tensions and blockages. We reach a state of harmony between the inner and the outer world. In a sound massage session we use several singing bowls with planetary and earth tones. Each bowl has a particular beneficial effect and is placed in a specific position on or around the body. For exemple, the Sun Tone bowl provides life energy, sustains strength and security. It helps finding one’s own true centre, increases self-esteem and enhances spirituality. This bowl is also effective in treating hormonal imbalances and PMS. It releases blockages in the solarplexus and transforms negative emotions into positive emotions. |
